You install IsoMantel straight from isomantel.com, without an app store. Afterwards you have an icon on your home screen, the app opens full screen and also works without internet. It takes less than a minute.
iPhone and iPad
- Open isomantel.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (square with an upward arrow). In newer iOS versions it may be under the “⋯” button next to the address bar.
- Scroll down and choose “Add to Home Screen”.
- Tap “Add”. The IsoMantel icon appears on your home screen.
Important on iPhone: jobs saved in a Safari tab and in the home-screen app are stored separately. Install the app first, then always open it from the icon.
Android
- Open isomantel.com in Chrome.
- If an “Install app” prompt appears at the bottom, tap it and you’re done.
- If not, tap the ⋮ menu in the top right and choose “Add to Home screen”.
- Confirm with “Install”.
In Samsung Internet: menu ≡ → “Add page to” → “Home screen”.
First launch
- Open the app once while online. It then downloads everything it needs to work offline, for example in a basement or on a roof with no signal.
- The angle tool and sight mode ask for access to the motion sensor and camera. Allow it, otherwise these features won’t work. The camera image is never saved or sent anywhere.
- Language is switched with the PL, DE, EN buttons at the top. The workshop PDF is created in the active language.
Updates
The app updates itself whenever you are online. If you don’t see new features, close it completely and open it again.
Removing the app
Press and hold the icon and choose “Remove App” (iPhone) or “Uninstall” (Android). Note: jobs and photos saved in the app are deleted with it. Send them as a PDF first if you still need them.
On a computer
In Chrome or Edge, click the install icon on the right of the address bar, or simply use isomantel.com in the browser.
